According to ESPN famous reporter Shams Charania, multiple sources revealed that defender Exam and Mavericks became a one-year contract extension.
Shams said Exam had considered the invitation from two very competitive teams, but eventually chose to return to Dallas and share the team's point guard task with new player D'Angelo Russell at the beginning of the new season.
After signing Exam, there are currently 16 standard contracts in the Mavericks.
In the 2024-25 season, Exam played 20 games for the Mavericks, and averaged 18.6 minutes per game to contribute 8.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists.
