Today, Little Porter participated in Howard's podcast program Above The Rim with DH 12, during which he talked about the temptation he faced after entering the NBA.
"In the world of the NBA, temptations are everywhere. I came to Denver a few years ago, and luckily it was not a crazy and overly open city. New York is different, haha... In fact, when I was in college, I had already started to think about my beliefs and direction. When I got money, I knew I needed a brother to be by my side to make sure I didn't get into trouble. Because those temptations can really ruin your career. Millions of dollars, five-star hotels, the most beautiful cities in the world, and those women waiting in the hotel lobby, these are overwhelming. Even the smartest people in the world can be trapped by love. When I encounter setbacks in the NBA, such as hearing someone want to trade me, I realize the cruelty of reality. But it is these experiences that make me grow and understand that the ups and downs in life are meaningful." Porter said.
Porter’s annual salary in the first year of his rookie contract is US$2.89 million.
