Brazilian journalist Diogo Dantas reported that Flamenco midfielder Purga was injured in the game against Bayern and will be out for about two months.

Pulga was diagnosed with a fracture of the fifth metatarsal bone of the right foot after examination, and the injury lasted for up to two months. The player was examined in Miami after being injured against Bayern Munich and found serious injuries, and the medical department confirmed that he needed six to eight weeks of recovery.

This means that the Chilean international may miss the Brazilian Cup 1/8 final against Atletico Minero at the end of July and the Liberators Cup in August.

Flamengo Club then issued a statement: "Midfielder Eric Purga was taken to the hospital midway through Flamengo's match against Bayern Munich. Examination revealed a fracture of the fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot. The player will return to Brazil with the delegation this Monday and undergo retest in Rio de Janeiro to determine the subsequent treatment plan."
