Orlando City defender D-Brecarlo was sent off in the second half with two yellows and one reds.
The semi-finals of the League Cup, and ten players Orlando City were reversed 1-3 by Miami International and missed the final. After the game, Orlando City coach Oscar Pareha questioned the referee's penalty when attending the press conference.
"I don't want to cry here, this is the thing I'm most reluctant to do, but our players shouldn't have ended like this, I'm not here to cry here. Some of the penalty and off-court factors affected the team, Brecarlo shouldn't have received that yellow card, and many of these penaltyes affected the whole game. We played well in the first half and controlled the pace of the game, but it was obvious that these penaltyes had an impact on us in the second half."
