According to a recent interview with Más de una Copa, Maxi Lopez’s teammate Bergesio in Catania revealed that after learning about Wanda’s affair, a local mafia contact in Sicily asked Lopez if he wanted to help him get revenge on Icardi.
However, Lopez said calmly and firmly: "No, no, don't worry," thereby preventing this emotional dispute from escalating into violence.
In 2013, the friend-wife affair was exposed, and Lopez divorced Wanda. The latter remarried Icardi in May 2014 with three children. However, the two have also been divorced since 2022 after a series of separations and reunions.
