Morgan: President Trump! By the way, a friend of mine got a CR7 jersey from Portuguese European Council President Antonio Costa at the G7 summit in June, and you wrote on it "Dedicated to President Donald J. Trump, for the fight for peace." What do you mean by writing that?
C Ronaldo: If the world can be peaceful...this is our goal. He's one of those people who can change or help change the world, and that's my main vision. Listen to me, he's certainly one of the most important people, the President of the United States. If we can help each other achieve this goal.
Because I swear, I can't stand watching TV because it's so bad. I don't watch it, I swear I can't stand it sometimes. I started watching the news and I couldn’t stand it, I couldn’t stand it. He was one of them, one of the people I wanted to meet. I hope to meet him one day if I ever get the chance, he is one of the people I would love to meet and have a chat with. Morgan: I mean, I say no matter what you think, you are Trump and people have very strong opinions about you, but I think he believes in peace, not war. That makes him unusual for a Republican president of the United States. I've talked to him many times and he really wants peace. I admire what he accomplished in stopping the bombing of Gaza. I admire what he's trying to do with Putin in Ukraine, trying to stop the bombing. You know, I think these are admirable things that he's doing. And from what you said, I think he's trying to honor your wishes.
C Ronaldo: I hope the world will soon move towards peace. That's what I expect, and I'll tell him something. Something no one knows. But maybe one day, if I get the chance, I'll sit down with him and I'll tell him. Maybe, maybe they don't know 100%.
Morgan: Really?
C Ronaldo: Yes.
