Arsenal’s 19-year-old left-back Skelly contributed a wonderful assist in this round of the Champions League, and Arsenal’s old player Clichy praised him highly.

In the third round of the Champions League, Arsenal defeated Atletico Madrid 4-0 at home. Skelly started the game. In the 64th minute, Skelly dribbled the ball from the backcourt to the front of the penalty area, and then passed through to assist Martinelli to score.

Klich said: "We discussed Arteta's options, whether to start Skelly or start Calafiore. I think that's why, because Skelly gives you a different option, he can provide options on the wing. Like Walcott said, I think the first part of the goal was incredible, but the final pass was probably the most difficult part of it. It was brilliant. Hopefully this will allow him to get more playing time, he is a very talented player."
