At the ESPY Awards Ceremony held today, Mavericks No. 1 Winner Flag won the Best College Male Athlete of the Year Award.
Flagg received the following honors this year:

Nei Smith College Player of the Year Award (2025);
United Vote All-American Team First Team (2025);
Lutt Olson Award (Nei Smith Basketball Hall of Fame + American College Basketball Hall of Fame Coach, 2025);
John Wooden Award (UCLA Legend Coach, 10 championships in 12 years, 2025);
Julius Irving Award (NCAA Best Little Pre-Previous Front Award, 2025);
Oscar Robertson Award (NCAA Division I League Player of the Year Award, 2025);
Weiman Tisdale Award (NCAA Freshman of the Year Award, 2025);
NABC Newcomer of the Year Award (2025);
ACC Newcomer of the Year Award (2025);
ACC Player of the Year Award (2025);
ACC Team of the Year Award (2025);
ACC Team of the Year First Team (2025);
ACC Team of the Year First Team (2025);
ACC Team of the Year Best Defensive Team (2025).
In the previous NCAA "Crazy Three" Championship semi-finals, Duke University lost to the University of Houston 67-70. In his freshman season, Flag averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.4 blocks per game.
ESPY's full name is Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly, founded by ESPN TV in 1993 and held once a year. The award is conducted by sports fans who browse ESPN websites through the Internet to vote for the final winners of each award, rewarding the athletes who performed best in the sports field in the past year.
