Recently, Pelicans forward Kevin Looney made a blog show called "Warriors Plus Minus". In an interview with Marcus Thompson, he said that the Warriors lack confidence in him and the lack of playing time in the playoffs eventually led to his departure:

"In the past few years, everything has changed, everything has been ups and downs. The team always notified me very late, and my playing time is also erratic. I kept thinking: 'What will happen? ' I don't know how they view me, nor how big a contract they will give me. At the Warriors, everything is full of uncertainty. My contract may be reduced from the middle class to the basic salary, which is too big! I can't sit and wait, I have to control my own destiny. It's because I understand their negotiation routines and styles, it's easier for me to take this step."

Loney was selected by the Warriors at the 30th pick in the first round of 2015. He played for the Warriors for 10 seasons. He played in 599 regular season games, averaging 4.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game; he made 89 appearances in the playoffs, and averaged 5.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. Looney won three championships with the Warriors in his career.
