The Mavericks narrowly defeated the Pacers 107-105 at home. After the game, Flagg was interviewed.

Talking about Dwight Powell's leadership, Flagg said: "Powell's leadership is not focused on what he said, but more reflected in his actions. I have never seen anyone who insists on strength training better than him. He uses actions to explain what hard work is. He goes to the gym every day, always arrives early for training, and keeps practicing shooting on the field. He teaches young players by leading by example. What a player should do, and he has always maintained a high degree of professionalism, which is why he has been able to stay here for so long. He always regulates his words and deeds, does the right things, and is always an excellent teammate regardless of whether he gets a chance to play. This is Dwight Powell, a true professional player."

In this campaign, Powell made 4 of 6 shots, 10 of 12 free throws, and scored 18 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal, and 2 blocks.
